NDA 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The aspirants are to check the NDA eligibility criteria before they apply for the NDA Exam.
Age limit
A. NDA I exam: both male and female candidates must have born not earlier
than July 2, 2002, and not later than July 1, 2005.
B. NDA II exam: both male and female candidates must have born not earlier than
January 2, 2003, and not later than January 1, 2006.
Educational qualification: The educational qualification is different for different academies. Candidates can check the educational qualification prescribed for different academies below:

Gender Requirements for NDA Posts
Supreme Court on August 18 (Wednesday) has passed
an interim order allowing women candidates to appear for the NDA 2021 exam.
This is for the first time that women candidates are allowed to appear for the
NDA exam to take admission in the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and
Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).
The matter will be heard again on September 8, 2021.
NDA Online Application Form 2021
The online NDA application form for appearing in the NDA exam is usually released 3-4 months before the date of exam. The online applications will only be accepted.
How to Apply for the NDA Exam?
- Open the official website and then click the ‘Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC’.
- Once the page will be opened, the aspirants have to click the Part I option to click the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (NDA & NA).
- Before you click the ‘Yes’ button, the aspirants are requested to read the instructions from PART I.
- Next, you will be able to see the application form displayed on the screen.
- Now, the aspirants have to fill in the contact details and personal information.
- According to the age and notification, the candidates should choose their preferable academics.
- In the next step, your Registration ID will be generated.
- Once you complete your Part I form, you have to start to fill your Part-II Application form fill up process.
- Next, you have to pay the application fees for completing the Application Form Fill up Process.
- If you have done your payment process, you can choose your desirable examination centre.
- Now you have to upload the scanned copy of your signature and photograph according to the mentioned file size and dimensions.
- In the next step, you have to select the ‘Submit’ option.
- You are advised to print out the application form for future reference.
NDA Application Fees
- The fees of the NDA I or NDA II application form for the General category students is INR 200/-
- However, the reserved categories candidates such as the SC/ST/ Females do not need to pay the application fees.
- To pay the application fees, the aspirants can choose both the online and offline mode of transaction.

The NDA admit card can be downloaded from https://upsconline.nic.in/ site.

Candidates have to choose a centre from the mentioned list of NDA 2021 exam centres according to their convenience.

NDA 2021 Selection Process
There are four stages in the NDA Selection Process which are as follows:
- Written Test: MCQ
- SSC Interview / Personality Test: Oral
- Document Verification

NDA Exam Day FAQs
Q: In how many cities will NDA (I) & (II) exam conducted?
A: NDA (II) exam will be conducted across 75 cities. Earlier, it was scheduled to be conducted at 41 cities.
Q: Can one change his/her NDA exam centre?
A: No, candidates cannot change the NDA exam centre after final submission of the application.
Q: Do I need to carry any photo-identity proof to NDA exam centre?
A: Yes, you need to carry a valid photo-identity proof to NDA exam centre.
Q: In how many shifts NDA will be conducted?
A: NDA exam will be conducted in morning and afternoon shifts (Maths & GAT).
Q: Will one be provided travel allowance to reach NDA exam centre?
A: No, candidates will not be provided with an allowance to reach NDA exam centre.
Q: Will one be provided travel allowance for SSB?
A: Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for a particular type of Commission will be entitled for AC III Tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within the Indian limits
Q: Can one carry calculator for mathematical calculations in NDA exam?
A: No, calculator or any kind of electronic devices are not allowed in NDA exam.
